In their first collaboration as directors, Molly Gordon and Nick Lieberman helmed the 2023 American comedy Theater Camp, which they also co-wrote with Ben Platt and Noah Galvin. A full-length remake of the 2020 short film of the same name, the movie stars Amy Sedaris, Caroline Aaron, Nathan Lee Graham, Galvin, Gordon, and Platt in addition to Jimmy Tatro, Patti Harrison, and Ayo Edebiri. Under the Gloria Sanchez Productions label, Will Ferrell is a producer.

The movie Theater Camp made its global premiere on January 21, 2023 at the Sundance Film Festival, and Searchlight Pictures is slated to distribute it in the US on July 14, 2023. Critics gave it favorable reviews.
