Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is an upcoming American action spy film directed and produced by Christopher McQuarrie. It serves as the sequel to Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and is the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible film series. The movie stars Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Esai Morales, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff, and Henry Czerny. The seventh and eighth Mission: Impossible films were announced by Cruise in January 2019 to be shot back-to-back, with McQuarrie handling the writing and directing duties for both. The cast members, both returning and new, were revealed shortly after the announcement. Lorne Balfe, who composed the musical score for Fallout, returned to score the film. Principal photography commenced in Italy in February 2020 but was interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed later that year and concluded in September 2021, with additional filming taking place in Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. Paramount Pictures has scheduled the release of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One in the United States on July 12, 2023. The sequel, Dead Reckoning Part Two, is slated to premiere on June 28, 2024.
