Paris 2024 Olympics Headquarters Raided in Third Consecutive Scandal During Summer Games
French Investigators Search Paris 2024 Olympics Headquarters in Latest Corruption Probe
French investigators have conducted a search at the headquarters of the Paris Olympic organizers as part of ongoing corruption investigations related to contracts associated with the Games. This marks the third consecutive Summer Olympics to be marred by allegations of graft.
The Paris organizing committee acknowledged the search in a statement, confirming the cooperation of their team while refraining from providing further details.
The search, along with other related raids, is connected to two previously undisclosed preliminary investigations into the Paris Olympics, according to an official from the financial prosecutor's office. One of the probes was initiated in 2017, the same year Paris was chosen as the host city by the International Olympic Committee, while the other investigation began last year.
